Blackburn is a rapidly growing commuter town just northwest of Aberdeen, Scotland, and is situated in Aberdeenshire. It has an industrial estate. It has a small primary school, as well as a nursing home, local shop and a £1 million community hall which was publicly opened by The Princess Royal in 2005.

Kinellar Primary School Fire

On New Year's Day 2016, at around 2.15am, there was a fire at the Kinellar Primary School. It was witnessed by a group of older (older than what?) teenagers. A 16 year old was arrested and charge in relation to the fire.
