César Vargas (born December 30, 1991) is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Vargas played in the New York Yankees organization from 2009 to 2015. He signed with the San Diego Padres in November 2015.[1] On April 23, he was called up to the major leagues to start in place of the injured Robbie Erlin, making his MLB debut.[2] After making 6 starts for the Padres, Vargas landed on the disabled list with a sore elbow.[3]
