Location of Cave Lake State Park in Nevada

Cave Lake State Park is a state park in White Pine County, Nevada, USA, featuring a 32-acre (13 ha) reservoir. Located about 30 miles (48 km) east of the town of Ely on former Nevada State Route 486, Cave Lake is situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet (2,100 m) within the northern section of the Schell Creek Range. It is in the Eastern Nevada Region of Nevada State Parks.

The park is popular for brown and rainbow trout fishing, ice fishing, crawdadding, camping, picnicking and winter fireworks. Hiking is offered on four developed trails, three to five miles in length. In addition to ice fishing, winter activities include ice skating, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

The White Pine Fire and Ice Show takes place in the park each January and features an ice and snow sculpture contest and fireworks. In September 2007 the American Bus Association listed the festival as one of the top 100 North American tourism events in its Destinations magazine.

Camping

The park offers two designated campgrounds, Elk Flat and Lake View. Both have modern restroom facilities and showers, and the former offers a holding tank dump station. There is also a yurt available for rent.
