Forres Park is probably the most famous and well known place in Claxton Bay.This has become so due to the industry and enterprise existing at that time. In the pre-1970 days the Forres Park sugar factory was the epicentre of 3 main villages of Caratal, Macaulay and Spring Vale. Those were the days of greater community as the Forres Park sugar factory served as the economic centre for these surrounding villages.
