Daniel Thomas Trickett-Smith (born 8 September 1995) is an English footballer who plays for the United Soccer League club Sacramento Republic as an attacking midfielder.

Playing career

Trickett-Smith signed with Liverpool from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2012 for a fee of £300,000, that could potentially rise to £1,000,000. He made three appearnces for England under 16s at the Nordic cup in Iceland in 2010.[1] He was released by Liverpool in April 2016 after to failing to break in to the first-team squad.[2]

Trickett-Smith signed with third-tier American side Sacramento Republic FC on 19 May 2016, who play in the United Soccer League.[3] He made his debut for the club on May 28, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with Swope Park Rangers.[4] Trickett-Smith scored his first goal for the Republic in his second game, heading in the equalizing goal in the 81st minute. He was later sent off after accumulating two yellow cards in the 2-2 draw against LA Galaxy II.[5]
