Dešen (pronounced [ˈdəʃən]; in older sources also Dešnje,[2] German: Deschne[2]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Moravče in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of Upper Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[3]
Archaeological evidence shows that the area has been settled since the Bronze Age.[4]
