Rodrick Del Rodgers (born June 22, 1960, in Tacoma, Washington), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 3rd round of the 1982 NFL Draft. A 5'11" running back-kickoff returner from the University of Utah, Rodgers was the first 1,000 yard rusher in Utah history.
Pro Football Career
From 1982 to 1985, Rodgers played for the Packers. On December 9, 1984, he made a 97-yard kick return for a touchdown against the Chicago Bears, which remains a Solder Field Record by an opponent that still stands today. After a one-year absence from the league, he came back and played two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers from 1987–1988 as a kickoff returner and has Super Bowl Ring.
