The municipality is located in Krapina-Zagorje County in northern Croatia

Desinić is a village and municipality in the Krapina-Zagorje County in Croatia. According to the 2001 census, there are 3,478 inhabitants in the area, an absolute majority of which are Croats.

Veronika of Desenice, the second wife of Frederick II, Count of Celje, is traditionally believed to had been born in Desinić.
