Drew Monson (born June 26, 1995) is an American YouTube personality and actor.

As of November 2016, his YouTube channel has more than 930,000 subscribers and more than 85 million views.

In 2014, Monson starred in his first film, Not Cool, directed by fellow Youtuber, Shane Dawson.[1]

Personal life

Monson was born and raised in Modesto, California.[2] In 2015, he moved to Los Angeles.[3] He has one sister.[4]

Over his YouTube career, He has openly discussed his struggle with depression and obsessive compulsive disorder.[5] He has stated that he discusses mental illness in order to "make people feel less alone." He has also commented that, while mental illness is talked about, it is simply "not talked about enough" within the general public.[6] He enjoys Wendy's quite a lot but they will not respond to him on Twitter despite efforts.

Monson started his Youtube channel on December 6, 2006,[7] at the age of eleven. His channel reached 100,000 subscribers on July 31, 2014.[8] As of November 2016, his channel has over 933,000 subscribers and over 85 million views.

Film

Monson made his acting debut in the film Not Cool where he played a supporting role. He also starred in the film Dirty 30 with Youtubers Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, and Hannah Hart.[9]
