Eduard Sobol (Ukrainian: Едуард Олександрович Соболь; born 20 April 1995) is a Ukrainian footballer who plays as a defender for FC Zorya Luhansk on loan FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Career

Sobol was born in Vilniansk, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine, in a family of the professional footballer Oleksandr Sobol. He is a product of youth team system FC Metalurh Zaporizhya. Made his debut for FC Metalurh entering as a full-time playing against FC Enerhetyk Burshtyn on 5 November 2011 in Ukrainian First League.[1]

In February 2013 signed 3 years contract with FC Shakhtar Donetsk.[2]

International career

Sobol was named in the 31-player senior national squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Iceland on 5 September 2016.[3]
