Empetus is a studio album by the electronic artist Steve Roach. It was released in 1986 on Fortuna Records.

Most of the album has a sophisticated, energetic style, similar to Now and Traveler, ending with a haunting, melodic track entitled "The Memory". The artist secured the songwriting rights to Empetus, with the album remastered and re-issued in 2008 on Projekt Records, together with a bonus disc containing "The Early Years" recordings from 1982.
