The English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) is the governing body responsible for the administration of all ice hockey in England and Wales and was formed in 1982. It is technically subordinate to Ice Hockey UK, which represents England (as part of Great Britain) at the IIHF.[1]
Responsibilities
The leagues and areas for which the EIHA are responsible for are:
- English Premier Ice Hockey League
- English National Ice Hockey League
- British Universities Ice Hockey Association
- Women's ice hockey
- Recreational ice hockey
- Junior ice hockey
They are also responsible for running coaching courses and the training and registration of on and off-ice officials.
