Francisco de Freytas (16th Century) was a Portuguese conquistador, arrived in the Río de la Plata in the expedition of Pedro de Mendoza.[1]
Biography
Born in Portugal, Francisco de Freytas, was chosen alongside other conquistadores to negotiate with the king, the supply of arms and provisions of the settlers of Buenos Aires.[2]
Francisco de Freytas, along with the rest of the population of Buenos Aires, was established in the city of Asuncion, where he was a member of the Cabildo.[3]
