Günyurdu is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 37°00′N 36°06′E / 37.000°N 36.100°E it is situated in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) plains between Çukurova motorway and state road . It is one of the easternmost villages of the province. The distance to Tarsus is 20 kilometres (12 mi) and the distance to Mersin is 50 kilometres (31 mi). The population of Günyurdu was 2174 [1] as of 2012.
