Gaurav Dwivedi is a Bollywood actor, radio jockey and voice-over artist. He made his debut with Ketan Mehta's film Rang Rasiya in 2008. Gaurav was next seen playing Zakir in an American feature, Bombay Summer.[1][2]
Career
A Telecommunication Engineer by profession, Gaurav decided to pursue his Masters in Australia. He returned to Delhi and became an RJ for Red FM, also hosting programmes for the All India Radio. Gaurav performed in several plays as a part of Act One, N K Sharms’s theatre group in 2005. He was a regular performer of M K Raina’s Prayog where he debuted in Tagore’s Muktodhara as the lead in 2004. Gaurav enrolled in the Film and Television Institute of India in 2005.
Still Voices got him a Best Actor Nomination in the Los Angeles Reel Festival in 2010. In October 2012, Gaurav went to Gehlore for the filming of Ketan Mehta’s Manjhi The Mountain Man. Rabindranath Tagore’s Gora, a bi-weekly episodic production was filmed and released on DD National prime time in 2012 October. He played Gora. Dwivedi’s next Bollywood film was Sudhir Mishra’s Inkaar in 2013. His Short film Yari road, an American production with Samrat Charabarti, traveled to festivals across the globe. Filmmaker Ketan Mehta cast him in his film Toba Tek Singh where he played Surajmal, a mentally challenged Radio Engineer sharing screen space with Pankaj Kapur and Vinay Pathak.
