George Dowling (born 8 October 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays for Weston-super-Mare on loan from Bristol City as a Midfielder in the National League South.

Club career

Bristol City

Having watched his first match at Ashton Gate at the age of six, George Dowling grew up supporting Bristol City.[2] He then joined the club's academy when he was just eight years old and signed his first professional contract on 27 October 2015.[3] He made his debut for the club on 30 April 2016, coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for Bobby Reid in a 4-0 Championship win over Huddersfield Town.[4]

Loan to Weston-super-Mare

On 4 August 2016, six players, including Dowling were loaned out by Bristol City on short-term deals. Dowling and teammate Shaun McCoulsky both joined National League South side Weston-super-Mare on a two-month loan period.[5] He made his debut for the club two days later in a 3-1 win over Whitehawk.
