The George Washington University School of Nursing was founded in 2010, and is the newest academic unit of the George Washington University. The current dean of the School of Nursing is Jean Johnson.[3]

The School of Nursing is located on both the Foggy Bottom and Virginia Campus of the George Washington University. The primary facility is Innovation Hall at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus.[4]

History

The GW School of Nursing was established as the university’s 10th academic institution in 2010, although the first nursing education at GW started in 1903.

Academics

The School of Nursing currently has over 50 faculty members and 300 clinical preceptors. There are around 600 students enrolled in the School of Nursing. The school provides education at the bachelor's, master's, and doctorate level. It also offers online courses.[5] The school has new partnerships that offer guaranteed admission to Montgomery College and Virginia Community College System students. The School of Nursing has a wide variety of online programs.
