Gesualdo Six

The Gesualdo Six are a vocal sextet specialising in the performance of renaissance polyphony, directed by Owain Park. The repertoire of this early music ensemble is including a cappella pieces from the renaissance masters, like Claudio Monteverdi and Carlo Gesualdo, as well as more modern vocal works by contemporary composers.

The group is part of the selection of St John's Smith Square Young Artists, who perform regularly at the concert venue both conventional and commissioned compositions.

In 2016 the group recorded their first album, which includes Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday alongside Italian madrigals.
