Gustavo de Freitas Guimarães (born 24 January 1994) is a water polo player from Brazil. He was part of the Brazilian team at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships[2] and 2016 Summer Olympics.[1] He won a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Guimarães' family has a tradition in water sports: grandfather João Gonçalves Filho went to five Olympics in either swimming or water polo, grandmother Wilma and mother Cristina practiced diving, and both father Gilberto and brother Ricardo were part of the Brazilian water polo team.[3][4]
