Halitağa is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated at 36°53′N 34°56′E / 36.883°N 34.933°E in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) to the southeast of Tarsus and east of Karabucak Forest. Its distance to Tarsus is 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) and to Mersin is 36 kilometres (22 mi). The population of Halitağa was 198 [1] as of 2011.
