Henrik Dalsgaard (born 27 July 1989) is a Danish footballer who plays for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League.

Career

Dalsgaard played for the low-tier Danish team Møldrup/Tostrup IF during his younger years. When he was twenty years old, he was discovered by Danish Superliga team AaB who signed him to a contract with a view to introducing him to their Superliga team.

While playing for AaB, Dalsgaard played as a winger even though he was signed as a striker. However, Dalsgaard became a first team regular and a solid performer once he started playing as a right back.[1]

On December 8, 2015, Zulte Waregem from the Belgian Pro League announced that they had signed Dalsgaard on a free transfer.[2]

International career

Dalsgaard played eleven games for the Denmark U21.

On March 9, 2016, following an impressive start at Zulte Waregem, Dalsgaard was, for the first time ever, selected for the Denmark national football team by the new head coach Åge Hareide. He made his debut against Iceland in a friendly on March 24, 2016, playing all 90 minutes in the 2-1 win.
