"Here Comes My Baby" is a pop song written by Cat Stevens and recorded in 1967. It originally appeared on his album Matthew and Son before it was popularized by the Tremeloes as a hit single only months later.

Cover versions

The song, minus the final verse, was covered by The Tremeloes, whose version was a No. 4 hit in the UK Singles Chart[1] and a No. 13 hit in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967.[2] Yo La Tengo covered the song on their 1990 album, Fakebook. It was also covered by The Mavericks, whose version peaked at number 42 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 1999.[3] Turin Brakes released their cover version as a b-side to their single, "Something In My Eye".[4]
