Railway lines

Following railway lines pass through Hisar junction:

Bathinda–Rewari line

The Rajputana-Malwa Railway extended the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 38 in) wide metre gauge Delhi-Rewari line to Bathinda in 1884.[5][6] The metre gauge Hisar-Sadulpur link was converted to broad gauge in 2009.[7][8]

Ludhiana–Jakhal line

Ludhiana–Jakhal line via Sangrur and Hisar was laid in 1901, possibly by the Southern Punjab Railway Co.[9] The broad gauge Ludhiana-Dhuri-Jakhal line was situated partly in British territory and partly in the territory lying in the native states of Jhind, Malerkotla and Patiala. An agreement for the construction, working and maintenance of the railway line was signed between the British Government and the native states in 1893.[10]
