Honduran Red Cross

Honduran Red Cross is a no yielding institution, of social and voluntary interest that loans help to the population in risk or in disaster. It is part of the international organization Red Cross and Half Moon Red, whose misson is to relieve the human pain by means of immediate attentions of agreement to each situation in particular.

Foundation and history

By means of Decree No. 475 issued in date 6 October 1937, the institution is known officially like Honduran Red Cross and with functions to make humanitarian actions in the national territory. Regional headquarters

The central headquarters de la Cruz Red Honduran, finds in the Neighbourhood Concepción, 7 street 1st and 2nd avenue, of Tegucigalpa, M.D.C. Republic of Honduras.

The expansion of the regional headquarters de la Cruz Red did not do expect for which were founded in the main cities of the country, as be: Comayagua, Danlí, The Ceiba, Choluteca, Santa Bárbara,Juticalpa, San Pedro Sula, Santa Rosa of Copán, Yuscarán, etc.

Red Cross Youth Honduras

Red Cross Youth Honduras is an auxiliary organism of Honduran Red Cross founded on 17 June 1964. It is composed of volunteers age 6 and up organized as follows. 6 to 12 years Brigadista; 12 to 30 years Juvenile; 30 and up Advisers. The headquarters of the CRJH are in Francisco Morazán, Comayagua, Choluteca, Valley, Olancho, The Paradise, Courts, Santa Bárbara, Atlántida, Colon, Intibucá, Yoro and Copán.
