Houara (Berber: Ihuwwaren, Arabic: هوارة) is a large Berber tribe spread widely in the Maghreb, and has some descendents in the Levant and Spain. Some traditions claim that its patriarch is called "Huwwar son of Origh son of Branis".[1]
Many smaller tribes, villages, and regions still bear this names in Berber countries today such as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya.
