Diesel multiple unit fleet

About 1940 the first railbus operation in Iran was started and in 1976 four turbotrains from France ANF with turbomeca turbines were introduced between Tehran Mashhad with 160 km/h (99 mph) speed (at that time max commercial non high speed in rail) with U33 rails, non welded, wooden sleeper, screw fastening, single track with manual switches. Nine two car British Rail Class 141 were bought in 1998, the Paradise DMU from Siemens in 2005 and Rotem 4 cars railbuses from Hyundai Rotem.
