Career

Andersson became the new Swedish record holder in marathon 22 January 2010 when she was fifth in the Dubai Marathon on time 2:26:52.[3] On 31 October 2010 she finished fourth in Frankfurt Marathon in 2:25.10 hours, thus setting a new national record. She has won Stockholm marathon four times in a row.[4][5] She ran at the 2011 Dubai Marathon and came third, improving her record time to 2:23:41 hours.[6] At the 2011 World Championships, she came 7th.[7] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she came 18th.[8]

She originally came to Sweden to learn more about the sport foot orienteering and ended up meeting her husband Lars Andersson, a Foot frienteering enthusiast and competitor.[9] They married in October 2006 and have a daughter named Beyoncé (born 2009), after the American singer.[4][10][11]

On 10 April 2016 she had to give up participation in the Rotterdam Marathon in the Netherlands, feeling bad in her legs, leading to her missing the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.[12]
