During the 2011 IIHF World Championship Israel completed in the tournament for the twentieth time. During the tournament, Israel competed in the Division III grouping. With their last place finish in 2010 Israel was relegated to Division III for the tournament. With their first place finish however Israel was promoted back to Division II for 2012. Israel was led by Eliezer Sherbatov and went 5-0 during the tournament.[1]
