The James D. Bissell (born 1951) is an American art director

Bissell was nominated at the 78th Academy Awards in the category of Best Art Direction for his work on the movie Good Night and Good Luck. His nomination was shared with Jan Pascale.[1]

In 2015 he received the Art Directors Guild lifetime achievement award. [2]

James Bissell invented digital previs on the 1986 movie, The Boy Who Could Fly.

In his next life he wants to be a painter.

Made famous the phrase "Stay calm and take your meds."
