John Peel (priest)

The Very Rev John Peel, DD, MA (b. Bury 22 August 1798, d. Kidderminster 20 February 1875)^[1] was Dean of Worcester from 1845^[2] until his death.^[3]

The eighth child and fourth son of Sir Robert Peel, 1st Baronet^[4] he was educated at Christ Church, Oxford.^[5] He held the living at Stone, Worcestershire from 1828;^[6] and in the same year was appointed a Prebendary of Canterbury Cathedral.^[7]
