Jurong Road

Jurong Road is a road in Singapore from Bukit Batok Road to Pan Island Expressway. It was the oldest road in Jurong and was constructed in 1852–1853 during the colonial era to link the rural areas of Jurong with the rest of Singapore. It was extended in 1929 to Bukit Timah Road. Its original span in the 1960s was from Bukit Timah Road to a dead end in Tuas, at the present-day junction of Tuas Road and Pioneer Road. The road between Upper Bukit Timah Road and Jalan Jurong Kechil is now known as Old Jurong Road. Upper Jurong Road starts from Pioneer Road and ends at Pan Island Expressway, after which it heads towards to the SAFTI Military Institute. Currently, only a small section of the road remains between Jurong West Avenue 2 and Bukit Batok Road.

The roads in Jurong Road spread out further into Tengah, as Track 18, Track 20 and Track 22. Track 22 links to Jalan Chichau and Jalan Lam Sam.
