Kırıt is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated at 37°05′N 34°54′E / 37.083°N 34.900°E in the southern slopes of the Toros Mountains. Turkish state highway is to the east of the village. Its distance to Tarsus is 27 kilometres (17 mi) and to Mersin is 55 kilometres (34 mi). [1] The population of Kırıt was 226 [2] as of 2012.
