Kentucky Route 405 (KY 405) is a 6.729-mile-long (10.829 km) state highway in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The highway connects mostly rural areas of Daviess County with Maceo.

Route description

KY 405 begins at an intersection with KY 144 in Thruston, in the northeastern part of Daviess County. This intersection is northwest of Yellow Creek Park. It travels to the northeast and crosses over VanBuren Creek. It intersects KY 1831 (Wrights Landing Road). It curves to the north-northeast and begins paralleling Allgood Ditch. The highway crosses over Pup Creek and intersects the southern terminus of KY 2116 (Kingfisher Lake Road). It travels between Carpenters Lake and Kingfisher Lakes and intersects the northern terminus of KY 2116. The highway then enters Yelvington, where it intersects the western terminus of KY 662. At this intersection, KY 405 turns left and travels to the northwest. It then enters Maceo. Here, it passes a U.S. Post Office, crosses over some railroad tracks of CSX, and meets its northern terminus, an intersection with KY 2830. Here, the roadway continues as Rockport Ferry Road.[1]
