Kilikollur (Malayalam: കിളികൊല്ലുര്) or Kilikolloor is also known as Karicode, a zone of Kollam(Quilon) city.[1] It is one of the cashew hubs in the city of Kollam, Kerala, India.[2][3] So many reputed cashew exporters in the city are based out of Kilikollur. Apart from that, Kilikollur is an emerging automobile hub of Kollam city. So many reputed automobile manufacturers have their showrooms at Kilikollur. NH 744 (Earlier NH 208) is passing through Kilikollur. Kilikollur railway station is one of the suburban railway stations serving the eastern part of Kollam city. Trains towards Kollam, Paravur, Punalur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kanyakumari, Ernakulam, Guruvayur have halt at Kilikollur.[4][5] One of the prestigious educational institutions in Kerala, T.K.M. College of Engineering is situated at Karicode.[6] A zonal office of Kollam Municipal Corporation is situated at Kilikollur.

Kilikolloor locality in Kollam city had the maximum number of cashew processing factories in India. Kilikollur was a panchayath and was formed in 1953. It was included in Anchalumoodu block of Kollam district with an area of 11.24 sq.km.[7] Kilikollur has a long history mainly because of its proximity to the city centre of Kollam which was one of the major ancient commercial cities in South India even prior to 851 AD.[8] When Kollam Municipality was upgraded as city corporation in the year 2000, Kilikollur was merged with Kollam.[9][10]
