List of Australian rules football families
This is a List of Australian rules football families, that is families who have had more than one member play or coach in the Australian Football League (previously the VFL) as well as families who have had multiple immediate family members with notable playing or coaching careers in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), South Australian National Football League (SANFL) or Victorian Football League (VFL, formerly known as the VFA). Each family will have at least a father and son combination or a set of brothers. Many families have had two or more cousins play league football but they are not included unless one also had a father, son or brother play.

Edward Rae Cordner was the brother of Harry Cordner and the father of Ted, Don, Denis and John Cordner. Four of them were doctors (Edward R, Harry, Ted and Don). Ted Cordner was the father of David Cordner. Edward Rae Cordner and Harry Cordner were first cousins of Larry Cordner and Alan Cordner (who were half-brothers). This earlier generation of the Cordner family all played league football in the early 1900s before WWI. The nine members of the Cordner family represented six different VFL or AFL clubs: Melbourne, University, Geelong, Collingwood, Hawthorn and Sydney Swans. Harry Cordner later played for Perth FC in the WAFL. John Cordner and Larry Cordner also played Sheffield Cricket for Victoria, in addition to their VFL appearances. J Alan Cordner was killed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 and is remembered by Collingwood FC each year at the MCG Anzac Day match.
