List of Death in Paradise episodes
Death in Paradise was first commissioned in 2010 by the BBC and originally starred Ben Miller as D.I. Richard Poole and Sara Martins as D.S. Camille Bordey. The first series began airing in October 2011. The show was recommissioned and a second series aired in January 2013. A third series was confirmed in February 2013 and aired in January 2014.[1] Miller, who had previously announced he would be leaving the show, left after the first episode and was replaced by Kris Marshall.[2] On February 28, 2014, BBC confirmed that Death in Paradise would return for a fourth season, which began filming in May 2014 and was broadcast in early 2015.[3] Sara Martins left midway through the series and was replaced by French actress Joséphine Jobert, as the character Florence Cassell, Jobert's first English speaking role.[4][5] In February 2015, a fifth series, which began airing in 2016, was confirmed, while a sixth series was confirmed in February 2016 and will begin airing in early 2017. To date, 40 episodes have aired.

Series 3 (2014)
On February 12, 2013, after high ratings for the second series, Death in Paradise was re-commissioned for a third series, which began airing on January 14, 2014.[15] Miller exited the show during the first episode of the series as his character was killed off.

Humphrey eliminates suspects to an initial three and then four, but cannot deduce how the murder was committed and what happened to the murder weapon, until he remembers ants coming through a window into the cell, leading to the solving of two murders. Humphrey's father comes to the island to convince him to come back home to Britain for his ex-wife, Sally, but watching his son solve the case realises he is happy for him to remain in Saint Marie. Series 6
On February 24, 2016, it was announced that the program would return for a sixth series that will start airing in 2017.[4]
