List of bus routes in San Diego

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) operates a total of 93 bus routes^[1] throughout the urbanized area of San Diego and the rest of the southern half of San Diego County, as of January 2015.^[2] The city proper and its various suburbs are served by MTS and its bus routes,^[3] while the northern portions of San Diego County are served by the North County Transit District (NCTD) and NCTD's BREEZE bus routes.^[3]^[4]

Fares

While the standard fare for regular MTS bus routes in $2.25,^[5] the fares for MTS bus routes varies by route type, as shown in the table below (fares for NCTD regular BREEZE buses, and MTS's San Diego Trolley, is shown for comparison):
