Loyola High School, Patna, India, is a co-educational Christian institution which was founded in 1969, originally for boys and later for girls. It is administered by the society of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel (Ranchi Province).[1]

The school was affiliated to the Bihar School Examination Board in 1976 but switched to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 1993. It expanded to include a senior secondary section on 1 April 2000 and comprises primary, secondary and senior secondary sections.It was expanded again in 2005 and comprises montfort montessori also.

The school has well equipped laboratories for physics, biology and chemistry, as well as for languages and computer studies. The school library is computerised and all classes are fitted with smart classes.[2]The school is spread over a huge campus providing all kind of facilities to the students which includes well designed classrooms to huge auditorium for cultural activities, big sports ground, transportation, mental development for all students, etc.[3]

Students have to attend school in the uniform, the colours of shirt is white and lower uniform color is Indian air force blue.

Alumni

Loyola has an alumni association and maintains a database of ex-students. The primary objective of the association is to promote and maintain contacts among the ex-students and to help the school with matters concerning its promotion, development and welfare.[4] Ravish Kumar and Ashok Chaudhry are distinguished alumni of Loyola High School.

Results

The reputation of the school has improved over recent years. It achieves excellent results in both board exams and in competitive exams such as Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), AIEEE and AIPMT. Loyola is known for students having all round capabilities and for its deemed excellence in the sports field as well.[5][6][7][8][9]
