Madiki, Aruba

Madiki is a village on the island of Aruba, located along the west coast of the island.



Many important streets are located in Madiki. Driemasterstraat connects Madiki to Aruba's capital, Oranjestad. Santa Helenastraat connects the village to another neighbouring village, Ponton. Belgiëstraat is located between middle-class Madiki and the upper-middle-class neighbourhood of Paradijs. Madiki is also connected to the thriving business and commercial area of Bushiri/Eagle, via Belgiëstraat.

Due to its favourable location and proximity to Oranjestad, it has welcomed many immigrants over the last decades. These immigrants come from all over the world, but mostly from Colombia, Dominican Republic and Haïti. Most citizen of Madiki are employed by the hospitality and tourism industry.

Madiki is also home of Centro di Playa Pabao, which is a community cented that hosts cultural, educational and sports activities on a regular basis.

Over the last few years, the government of Aruba has invested in renovating the infrastructure and roads of Madiki.
