The Hofuf attack occurred on 29 January 2016 in Mahasen a city in Eastern Province. The attack left at 4 people plus the attacker dead and 18 others injured. The attack consisted of a shooting and suicide bombing and was directed by ISIL. One attacker was overpowered by a crowd and arrested while the other committed the suicide bombing.[1][2]
