Mahindra Truck and Bus Division, formerly called Mahindra Navistar[1] / Mahindra International,[2] is an Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer formed in 2005 from a joint-venture between Navistar International (49%) of the United States and Indian automobile maker Mahindra & Mahindra (51%).[3] It has been demerged[4] into Mahindra & Mahindra ltd and became a separate division.

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division's Head office is located at Chinchwad, Pune and its manufacturing line is inside Mahindra Vehicles Manufacturers Ltd.,Chakan,Pune.

Mahindra Truck and Bus commercial vehicles range from 3.5 – 49 tons GVW/GCW.

HCV Range : TRUXO (25T, 31T & 37T GVW), TORRO (25T & 31T GVW), TRACO (35T & 40T GCW), Blazo

LCV Range : LoadKing (6T GVW), DI3200 (4.5T GVW), COSMO,Tourister Excelo (15, 25, 32, 36, 40 seater buses)[5]


Mahindra Truck and Bus Division rolled out its 15,000th HCV Truck from Chakan Plant in mid 2015,[6] whereas in the LCV segment the company has sold approx 1.25 lakhs vehicles.[7]

Mahindra launched new series of smart trucks with new branding "BLAZO", in Auto Expo 2016. The truck has smart fuel saving technology to help customers as per their usage pattern. These trucks are equipped with different power options which can be switched via fuel smart switches. These also come with Driver Information system which informs the driver with range of information related to truck performance and fuel efficiency on the vehicle dash board.

HaveaSafeJourney (#HASJ)

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division and Natural Habitat Preservation (NHP) Centre has jointly announced that it will support the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) in its Road Safety program, through a national awareness campaign #HaveaSafeJourney (#HASJ). The campaign will be live between August 15 and October 15, 2016. [9]

Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), felicitated 14 girl children of its truck drivers through the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan. Launched in January 2014, this special program is committed to making a contribution by transforming the lives of truck drivers’ girl children in India and ensuring them their right to higher education. The company has planned to felicitate each girl selected for this scholarship in the presence of prominent personalities and the management team from Mahindra by giving each of them a Demand Draft of Rs.10,000 and a certificate in recognition of this achievement. A pan India initiative, the first celebration was hosted in Pune on 24th May with 14 girls being felicitated at the company’s headquarters in Chinchwad.[10] [11]
