Maksym Kovalyov (Ukrainian: Максим Сергійович Ковальов, born 20 March 1989 in Alchevsk, Ukrainian SSR) is a professional Ukrainian football defender.
He is product of FC Stal Alchevsk and FC Shakhtar Donetsk sportive schools. His first trainer was Vyacheslav Frantsev.[1] Kovalyov become on loan for FC Zorya Luhansk in Ukrainian Premier League from January 2010.
