Marina Suwendy (born 16 December 1986) is a Malaysian international model, TV host, event Master of Ceremonies, and journalist.

Early life and education

Suwendy was born in Penang, Malaysia, but grew up in Kuala Lumpur. She is a mix of Chinese, Nyonya and Dayak parentage. She attended Garden International School Kuala Lumpur and later moved to the United Kingdom to complete her education. She holds a Law Degree. When she returned she began her career in the modelling and the TV industry. She also studying at Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York.[1]

Career

Suwendy was awarded the Miss Beautiful Skin 2006 title by Shiseido Cosmetics (Malaysia) and Alex Eu (Giorgio Armani makeup artist) at Miss Malaysia World 2006.[2] She has been recruited as the brand ambassador for Swiss skincare supplement Estime . At 173 cm, Marina Suwendy has broken the tradition by establishing herself not only as a print model, but also catwalk. Reportedly trained by top model consultant Simone Teh.

She has also been involved in judging an award winning TV Reality Series - What Women Want (TV series), aired on 8tv .[3] And one of the permanent models for NTV7's popular game show - Deal or No Deal. Marina Suwendy is also a recognised TV host, covering fashion events.

She is a journalist for New Straits Times (Malaysia), Teenage Magazine (Singapore), 360 Degrees Magazine (Malaysia) and others.[4][5]

Marina Suwendy is currently based in New York and is managed by Ford Models New York and Charm Model Management New York.
