Max Baer (born December 24, 1947) is a justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Born in Pittsburgh, he earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971 and a J.D. from Duquesne University in 1975. From 1975-1979, he served as Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. Baer was elected judge in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, and was retained for a second 10-year term in 1999. He was elected to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2003.[1]
