Xenophrys parallela or Megophrys parallelus[3] is a species of frog in the Megophryidae family. It is only known from its type locality Batang Sarasah, Lubuk Selasih, near Solok (West Sumatra). It is thus endemic to Indonesia.[4] Its natural habitats are tropical moist montane forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
Xenophrys parallela is a small-sized species among Megophrys; males grow to a snout–vent length of 40–48 mm (1.6–1.9 in). It has a stocky habitus.[2]
