Surname

Menaria is the 284,466th most common surname in the world. Approximately 1,070 people have this surname.[2]

History

Menaria spread from Marwar to Mewar and Malwa. Transport difficulties limited interactions throughout the region. As a result, communal programs were organized on the same day. Five to six villages would be created. Representatives from one village could attend programs of any other village.

Names such as "Bawan Kheda (52 Kheda)", "Solah Kheda (16 Kheda)", and "Chawalis Kheda (44 Kheda)" were used to identify communities from different Chokhalas (or committees). The representatives of Bavan Khedas got together at Menar Village, hence the association with Menaria.
