Early life

Michael O. was raised in Croydon by a single mother, Rosemond Lathbridge. He has one other brother, Macneil Owusu. He studied A Level in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at John Ruskin College and enrolled at Kingston University to study for a career in music and entertainment.

Career

Michael got his start as a Presenter on the youth-oriented TV programme, Free 4 All, on Revelation TV. His ability to deliver enabled him to be recognised by the Founder of the channel, Howard Conder, who entrusted to him the title of Producer of the show attracting 200,000 young people per week.

Having great passion for music and a love for media Michael O. came up with an idea for a TV Show, which would merge the two to create a platform that would showcase talented artists who make great music. As a result; The One to One Show was born in 2008.

Featuring artists such as: Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary,[1] Donnie McClurkin,[2] Fred Hammond, Deitrick Haddon, Mase[3] (formerly known as P. Diddy’s right-hand man), Kim Burrell, Martha Munizzi, Michael W. Smith,[4] Delirious?, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Canton Jones, Da' T.R.U.T.H., Lecrae, Tye Tribbett[5] and Byron Cage, just to name a few. The high quality production of the show drew a lot of attention and interest to the show and quickly garnered it a regular weekly audience of approximately 600,000[6] viewers and attracted press interest from Pride Magazine, TV 4 Life, The Voice and Gospel Link Magazine. The One to One Show now broadcasts on major channels in over 60 countries around the world including Ghana, Nigeria, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, South Africa, New Zealand, and many others.

Michael’s association with the big names and high profile international personalities enabled him to develop a solid relationship with some of the UK’s biggest Christian promoters and ministries wanting to invite the American acts to the UK. He has thus been involved in organising European tours for artists like Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Deitrick Haddon, Martha Munizzi, Sean Simmonds, Da T.R.U.T.H., Lisa McClendon, Jessica Greene and others.

In 2010 Michael O. added CEO to his credentials by founding MO Entertainment Worldwide; a company which specialises in TV Production & Content Distribution and now supplies content to the likes of Sky TV and Channel 4 in the UK, and many international broadcasters across Africa and the Caribbean including Television Jamaica, Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, Mnet, Africa Magic, E.tv, to name but a few.

The company in its formative years also dabbled in Artist Representation and had the likes of Deitrick Haddon, Mali Music and Kierra Sheard on their books.

Michael O. now heads the MO Worldwide Group, a multi-faceted organisation with business interests and investments in television content distribution, luxury car rentals and property. This organisation comprises MO Entertainment Ltd, Done Deal Properties and The Luxury Life UK.
