Montiano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southeast of Bologna and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Forlì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,573 and an area of 9.3 square kilometres (3.6 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Montiano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Badia and Montenovo.
Montiano borders the following municipalities: Cesena, Longiano, Roncofreddo.
It is also a town in the comune (municipality) of Magliano in Toscana, province of Grosseto, in the Italian region of Tuscany.
