Nafa Indria Urbach (born in Magelang, June 15, 1980), better known as Nafa Urbach, an Indonesian soap opera actress and singer. She began her career in the entertainment world through with her song "Bagai Lilin Kecil" composed by Deddy Dores.[1] She is often referred to as the successor to the singer Nike Ardilla.[2]

Biography

Nafa Indria Urbach was born June 15, 1980 in Magelang to Ronald Urbach and Neneng Maria Kusuma. Nafa is the third of the couple's fourth children, she has two older sisters named Farah and Maya and a younger brother named Alam.[3] Her father was an Ashkenazi Jew of Dutch-German descent and her mother is Javanese.[4] She is the aunt of the Indonesian pianist Joey Alexander.[5]

After living in a relationship with Iranian-Indonesian actor Primus Yustisio who has made appearances in several of these music videos like "Hatiku Bagai Terpenjara", "Hatiku Bagai Di Sangkar Emas", "Bilakah" or also "Tiada Dusta Di Hatiku" between 1997 and 2001,[6] Nafa finally married the actor Zack Lee in Jakarta on February 16, 2007.[7] Nafa had met Zack in a nightclub, four years earlier.[8] Nafa and Zack were originally not of the same religious belief, but in September 2003, Nafa has announced that she had converted from Islam to Christianity, which is the religion of Zack.[9]

After the wedding Nafa had a miscarriage in September of the same year, when she was two months pregnant.[10] She then gave birth on February 8, 2011, to a daughter, Mikhaela Lee Jowono.[11]
