Dr. Nagam Janardhana Reddy (born May 22, 1948) is an Indian politician.[1] He was the Deputy Leader in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and was an independent M.L.A. from Nagar Kurnool constituency. He was the Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004.
Early life
Nagam Janardhan Reddy was born in Nagar Kurnool town of Mahabubnagar to Nagam Venkata Reddy and Narayanamma. He completed his medical education, M.B.B.S. at Osmania Medical College and practiced medicine before entering politics.
Career
Reddy was first elected as an MLA, from Nagar Kurnool constituency in 1978. He was elected as M.L.A for six terms. He was a Politburo member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and loyal to its leader, Chandrababu Naidu, and to the cause of separate statehood for Telangana.
He was suspended from the TDP on May 25, 2011. Many political parties in the Telangana region are fighting for the cause of statehood along party lines but Reddy chose not to confine himself to the TDP position and this caused friction.

He started a new party, Telangana Nagara Samiti, in August 2011 and merged with BJP on June 3[2]

Nagam Janardhan Reddy is married to Suguna and they have two sons and a daughter.
